What does the "mAh" on my rechargeable batteries mean?
The capacity of a battery is expressed in mAh (milliampere/hour).
The calculation formula is as follows:
Discharge (milliampere) x discharging time = capacity (milliampere/hour) (hour)
As an example, consider a Ni-MH rechargeable battery with a capacity of 2000 milliampere/hour.
If you insert this battery into an appliance that consumes 100 milliampere current continuously, the appliance's operating time will be approximately 20 hours. However, this is only a guideline because it varies depending on the performance of the appliance or the environment in which it is used.
