Can I combine different types of batteries?
No, never combine batteries of different types, brands, or equipment.
To avoid differences in capacity and other factors, only use batteries from the same packet for your appliance. Using different types of batteries (see graph A) or batteries of varying ages (see graph B) in an appliance may result in leakage or, in the worst-case scenario, an explosion.
When two different grades or brands of batteries are used together, a lower capacity in one of the batteries may cause an over-discharge during use.
When replacing batteries in an appliance, it is highly recommended that you replace all of the batteries at once with batteries of the same type, brand, size, and expiry date.
